Community Programs for Behavioral Health
Community programs and behavioral health initiatives are a key component of Ben’s professional career and he has dedicated himself to enhancing not only the treatment programs, but also the quality of substance abuse and addiction treatment. After two decades in the field of behavioral health, Ben identified gaps in the community healthcare network. His personal passion for helping all those in need find treatment and in expanding treatment opportunities and access to quality behavioral health treatment lead him to become involved in a number of professional and community organizations.
“Our job as behavioral health professionals is to help not only those that seek our services, but expand opportunities for treatment for those that think help is beyond their reach. No one should feel that the barrier to quality behavioral health care is too high for them.” –Ben Brafman
Recognizing the need for addiction professionals to take the lead in expanding opportunities and access to treatment, Ben founded two behavioral health community programs, the Academy for Addiction Professionals and Rx Angels.
